Prof. Mohd. Akhtar Siddiqui, Chairperson, National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) is scheduled to visit the NTS headquarters at Central Institute of Indian Languages (CIIL), Mysore for two days from 5th November 2008. During his stay, the NTS team will have an interaction with him to avail consultancy and guidance about the challenges in determining the benchmark of quality at all the levels of education. NTS-India aims to fulfilling the evaluation requirements of the country as well as developing national and regional norms/standards of quality. It also proposes to develop instruments of evaluation (tools and scales) in parallel forms. These instruments will be standardized with reference to the populace to be identified across the country through 60 Regional Field Units (RFUs) of NTS. For this purpose, concept based continuum of graded syllabi (CCGS) being formulated by the NTS-INDIA, will form a comprehensive basis.
