The 3-day “International Interfaith Conference on Promoting Interfaith Dialogue in Multi Religious Communities”
organised by CMS Asharfabad campus was held at the CMS Kanpur Road auditorium from 14 to 16 July.
Religious gurus, educationists, jurists, philosophers and thinkers from nine countries viz UK, Canada,
Brazil, Egypt, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Malaysia and India participated in this significant conference.

 

Ms Archanaa Pande, Principal of CMS Asharfabad campus was the Convenor of this Conference.
Mr Sukhdev Rajbhar, Speaker, Legislative Assembly, UP inaugurated the Inter-Faith conference
on 14 July at a grand opening ceremony. The conference was convened with the objective of creating
a climate of trust and understanding between various religious communities. The galaxy of eminent
participants included Dr Adel Omer Sharif, Dy Chief Justice, Supreme Constitutional Court of Egypt;
Mr Michel de Salaberry, Former Ambassador, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Canada; Prof Nihal Jayawickrama,
Consultant, United Nations Agencies of Governance and Judicial Reforms and Coordinator of the UN
sponsored Judicial Integrity Group, Sri Lanka; Prof. Mohammad Akhtar Siddiqui, Chairman, NCTE,India;
Prof. Anwar Fazal, Director, Right Livelihood College, Malaysia; Mr Nasri Marco, Ph.D., President & Founder,
Sharm El Sheikh International Arbitration Centre, Egypt; Prof. Dr Mohammad El-Shahat El-Gendy,
Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs and Member of Islamic Research Academy
of Al-Azhar, Cairo, Egypt; and other eminent scholars.
